Boston United kept up their unbeaten record at York Street this season with what eventually turned out to be a convincing victory. Tommy Taylor's latest signing - striker Jon Stevenson - started up front alongside Jon Froggatt, relegating Kieran Leabon to the subs' bench. Defender Liam Green was rested, allowing Tony Crane to return and Matt O'Halloran came in for Mbiyeye Medine. Boston had most of the possession in the first half, but didn't create many clear cut chances. Jon Froggatt saw a long range shot blocked and Ashley Nicholls fired another long range effort over the bar. Boston took the lead five minutes after the restart. A cross by Froggatt was headed home at the back post by David GALBRAITH.

STEVENSON opened his Boston goalscoring account ten minutes later. Galbraith flicked the ball through to the new striker who struck it well to find the bottom right corner. Ten minutes from the end Boston completed their biggest win of the season so far when FROGGATT slotted the ball past the Redditch 'keeper after beating the offside trap to latch on to a though ball from Nicholls. After the match new signing Jon Stevenson said: "When we went in at half time we were disappointed that we hadn't created more chances. We were obviously in control of the game and we said inside the dressing room that if we kept doing what we did in the first half and obviously create more chances then we would score goals, which we did."
